In addition to the work they performed previously, I took my Lexus back to McGee and asked John to replace my brakes and service the brake fluid. The car runs like a new car and more importantly, I feel secure that the service was done right. Brakes are something that needs an expert because its important to be able to stop! Great Job! 11/15/2013 My rear brakes on my Lexus were screeching meaning that the pads had worn down to the metal. John at McGee analyzed the problem, ordered pads and rotors and did an excellent brake job. That is why I always trust my cars to John at McGee in Port Richey FL. I am so glad to see that Don is back at this location. Don and John make an awesome team.
Calvin was the friendliest and most knowledgeable person I've ever had the pleasure to work with. As a female, I have had negative experiences where men don't believe I know what I'm talking about regarding my service needs. Calvin took care to ensure I knew what was going on from beginning to end and explaining everything to me without making me feel patronized. Because of his exceptional service, I plan to continue getting my future service done at McGee.
went for a oil change. they did a excellent job and also filled all of my fluids and put my spare on for free. they go beyond the call of duty... .... will always be a customer.
While here getting an aliment, they showed me a few things needed done.. that being said the tires were shot.. they got me good prices on tires and got the job done. This is my son's car so I'm glad they were concerned about the safety of the vehicle.
I walked in asking for a quote to install a set of extended stainless steel brake lines that I know everyone is running on their lifted Jeeps. I wanted a set for my Jeep and bought them from an extremely reputable company called BDS Suspensions. I asked the counter clerk how much it would cost to install them and he said, "$150 plus the price of brake fluid" (which I know to be about $2 per bottle). So today I went in to have the brake lines installed and suddenly the price jumped to $176 and then the cost of brake fluid too. So I thought to myself... "okay, whatever, what's an extra $26?" So halfway into the installation they come back in and tell me that the brake lines are incompatible. I knew this not to be true, as I've seen many people run these brake lines. So I called BDS Suspension while I was waiting in the lobby and had the associate talk to the counter clerk. Well... the conversation didn't get anywhere. The counter clerk wouldn't take no for an answer. It gets better, the counter clerk then tells me, "we put all your stuff back on, but we're still going to charge you $127." I attempted to appeal to the clerk that perhaps they could lower the cost a little (since NOTHING was actually done to my Jeep today) or that maybe when I come in with the correct brake lines (even though I knew these were already proper) that they could install them for a fraction of the price due to today's inconvenience. Unsurprisingly, I got big fat "no" from the clerk and they charged me $127 for nothing. I thought these guys were a good small business that I could rely on and I ended up getting railed for money when nothing was even done to my vehicle. I will never do business with these guys again. They wouldn't listen to me, refused to reason with the manufacturer of the parts I brought in, and tried to tell me why I was wrong. I feel scammed. And my Jeep is back to square one with me looking for a new mechanic while they made bank today.
